What a gorgeous park! No cost to get in, and lots of parking. There's a beautiful outdoor pool which we used, and it was only 5 dollars per person for my husband and son. Lots of lush green scenery, well-maintained trails with little waterfalls and...More
A lovely treat and welcome escape from the summer heat. Shady and lush green throughout, this is the gem within the hunk of coal. Stroll as short or long as you wish. Ascend Jacob’s ladder for a challenge or go for a leisurely walk. Its...More

Having been on the road for a few hours, we enjoyed the opportunity to stretch our legs, climb Jacobs Ladder, put our feet in the water of the waterfall, and refreshed, return to our road trip back home. The scenery is lovely here.
On a whim we hustled off to Truro and Victoria Park for a mid-week wander in the park and a relaxing picnic.

Victoria Park is a great spot for the whole family!!! Biking trails, hiking trails, waterfalls, playground and swimming pool. Bring a picnic, go up Jacob’s Ladder and enjoy the falls!! It truly is a hidden gem in the middle of downtown Truro.

The main trail into the park is very popular. On it, you will pass Jacobs ladder (180+ wood plank stairs), after the ladder you can cross a bridge over a small river (you’ll see a gazebo with benches inside). Or continue on the main route where you’ll come to two sets of waterfalls (upper and lower). Near the back end of the park there’s a loop called “vibert trail” that contains two fairly steep hills that often used for training. Starting at the pool, “hemlock trail” is popular as well.
This all said, you can walk the entire park between 1.5-2 hours.
The whole park is full of well groomed trails, rivers intertwined, and handmade bridges.
All trails are well marked, so don’t worry about navigation.
