We were a group of five girls that went to Phillip and Leanne's cooking class as part of our girls weekend getaway. We brought a few bottles of wine, learned how to make appetizers (let's be honest Leanne did a lot of the difficult preparation) and had a great time learning some new recipes! It was very informal and involved... More

The Italian and Pasta Cooking class at the Collingwood Cooking Academy began early at 5 pm. At first there was an informal meet and greet with the other individuals that we were going to create scrumptious meals with. My husband and I were interspersed with 4 retired couples from Toronto now living full time in Collingwood.Chef Philip Tarlo was the... More

My husband and I just attended along with 3 couples friends and were joined by a couple staying at the B&B. This was our 2nd visit to the Collingwood Cooking Academy (and we have 4 aprons now to confirm that). We did the Date Night menu for our first visit a couple of years ago. This time we did the... My husband and I recently took the couples cooking class and had a fantastic time!! We learned so many useful tips and had fun preparing the three course meal. The best cooking class that we have ever done by far!!

Four of us girls did the cooking class Saturday night. Chef Patrick and his wife Leanne made the night. They are so friendly, charming and accommodating. They came up with a paleo menu for my food sensitivities. Chef Patrick's French sauces are excellent! I will return perhaps with my family or with several couples for a date night!

Four of us ladies were in Collingwood for a girl's weekend and rather than go to a restaurant we decided to do a hands on cooking activity. Our group ranged from a beginner to an advanced cook. We LOVED it and all of us learned something! We did the Date Night recipes-appetizier- homemade Butternut Squash, 3 main courses- Steak Diane,... More

This was so much fun. Relaxed yet professional. Lots of laughs with a group of 12 women. Loved it so much I bought my own pasta machine and feel confident with the instructions and recipes given. I would love to go back :)

Right from when we got there we were made to feel very welcomed. We did the Italian class and it was superb. We learned so much and both Philip and Leanne were so helpful and encouraging. Will definely be going back for another class. It was so much fun.

It was such a delight to spend time cooking with you and your friends. Nothing gives me more pleasure to meet new people and be able to teach them professional skills and techniques, and know they are also having fun. Look forward to see you again to take another class. More

Philip and Leanne are wonderful hosts for a delightful evening of fantastic hands-on cooking. We had such a great time and the food we made under their guidance was simply amazing. From beginning our lesson by learning how to make pasta dough to finishing up our meal successfully becoming 'first time crepe flippers' (hint: you have to commit to the... More

It was lovely to meet you and your sister. I'm glad that you enjoyed yourselves, and learnt some new skills and techniques. Committing to Flipping is the Key for the crepes. Look forward to see you again for another cooking class More

I attended the Italian cooking class as part of a girls weekend, we had a group of four and the youngest was 8yrs old. The kitchen is part of a bed and breakfast (Willow Terrace B&B) and set back from the main road, very peaceful location. The owners of this company are absolutely fantastic, down to earth people who make... More

It was a delight to meet the family. I was surprised how attentive your niece was and how much she enjoyed cooking. It goes to show that it doesn't matter what age you are to learn how to cook. Hopefully it will inspire her to keep on cooking, with or without recipes. Look forward to see you again at another... More
