For first time visitors, start in the theatre and wait until the short movie ends before exploring the village. Look for coupons from the Ontario Government website or from the nearby Martyr's Shrine that give 50% off.

This is the place I always recommend for visitors to the area. The history, the staff, the site...all excellent. My favourite event of the year is First Light in November, when the site is lit only by candle light!

This attraction has many seasonal events like the Christmas First Light and Aboriginal Day. There is Native story telling and drumming, crafts and a historical presentation of the first contact between White settlers and Native peoples. A great place to bring the kids.

Over 12,000 lanterns light your way along the paths of this historic settlement. Christmas carols, crafts and stories for the kids, musket and cannon fire, hot chocolate, and beaver tails! What more could you ask for! Highly recommended.
