Some really interesting history here and both Anne( Curator) and Tony (Retired Railway Engineer) have a passion for their work in sharing their fascinating knowledge/history of the great Canadian Railways. A fine example of a 77 ton 1912 Steam Locomotive, Class G-1, a 1957 Diesel/Electric...More

I love this museum for several reasons. FIrstly it tells the story of several utterly forgotten rail lines. Secondly it is alive by having actual trains running . Thirdly it is very relaxed - nobody gets upset if you touch things and the exhibits look...More

This gem of a museum highlights the railway history in eastern Ontario. The station is beautifully restored, with original woodwork and signage. Check out the dental car, it's amazing. Well worth the visit, and come back often as they continue to build their collection.

This was great for the kids as they could climb on the trains and see them as they were years ago. The grandkids I had with me wanted to see each train more than once...They could sit in the engineer's seat and see the world...More

I learned about this museum from a fellow TripAdvisor reviewer and decided to give it a try. It turned out the long drive was well worth it! My four year old had fun like in no other museum or no other amusement place for that...More
