Nice lake with sand

Good for swimming at the lake, also good for hike, short or longer. This park is just north of Waterloo, Ontario.

- Been there several times - Done canoeing, and it was great fun! - Fees could be a little lower though - Picnic area is not very nice. I'd go to Waterloo or Victoria for that - Swimming? I'd probably go to Guelph

I have been living in Waterloo for about 2 years now and I have only discovered this park a few weeks ago. And I am really upset I didn't know about it sooner. It is a great park with lots of outdoor options all year round. I have been enjoying their summer activities extensively. They have several trails for hiking,... More

I love my morning walks in the Laurel Creek Conservation Area. Every time a very peaceful and quiet experience. The lake invites for a swim or later picnic with friends. The park is open for camping. I enjoy paddling with a canoe across the lake to observe wild birds closeup.

Laurel Creek Conservation Area offers a small swimming area and lots of nature trails. Dragonboat races take place annually.

Have parked at Laurel Creek several times in the past and enjoyed every one of them. Sites are large and while it would be nice to have full services water and electricity are the most important. The area is well maintained and staff are friendly and visible. Last year five large pull thrus were added that can handle any size... More

Best place to get out in nature in Waterloo, especially with the kids - they have knowledgeable staff who run great programs (sometimes free) for kids.

We live locally and this is a great way to get the kids to experience camping without a long drive and all that entails. When a storm blew in we headed home (10 min away) and waited it out. We continued our camping trip the next day. It is great to go mid-week when it is a bit more quiet.... More

I grew up camping and have been in various private and provincial camping grounds. This is the first that have one way streets in a very small area without any major traffic. The security says they go around the camping sites all night but the site in front of ours were talking and laughing very, loud passed 3 am, they... More
