We spent an hour walking up the gravel path with nothing to see or hear but the huge magnesium power plant. After an hour of this we cut our losses and walked back.

Beautiful place for a hike. Close to the city. Wonderful views. Nice easy hike for all ages. Can visit any time of year. For the more adventurous there are plenty of places here for rock climbing as well.

Ease hike for the whole family. Beautiful view of the surrounding mountains. A hike you can do on your own without a tour.

Hiking the canyon in the winter is a fantastic experience especially when you are greeted by the falls. I suggest you get ice cleats to make walking on the creek easier but you can do it without.

A beautiful spot off the beaten trail. Best time to go is mid winter when the ice is frozen solid. I wouldn't pay for a tour if you have your own ice cleats (a must). Its a great little hike with towering canyon walls around...More

Don't miss this winter walk just a short distance away from Calgary. Come when the water is frozen solid and bring you winter spikes. The view of the frozen waterfalls is worth it!
