nice walk

You can visit a small park in Newmarket called Lumsdeen Green. Consider spending one or two hours in the afternoon.

A nice shopping and restaurant district, New Market its a nice urbanization on the shoulder of Auckland. Its a very popular area, specially during the afternoons, when most of the locals and the tourists gather here for some shopping and dinner. A very well design place, its a nice place to walk and enjoy.

Newmarket is a super trendy and pupular place to go shopping, out to lunch, catch up with friends over tappas or a drink or go to movies and dinner at night. It is always quite busy but your can park for free for 2 hours in 277 shopping mall and carpark or at the farmers carparking. Everything is quite close... More

Only a 10 minute $4 train trip from britomart, auckland central train station, there is a lot of variety in the shopping here from boutique shops to the westfeild mall (average mall) plenty of clothes shopping for my partner and even for me. (she loved the boutique home and gift shops) plenty of good cafes. Clean and tidy streets.

New Market is good for higher end shopping but you still have everything else you need in one spot. as well as that you have a whole bunch of cafes to stop of and have good food. getting a train from Britomart station (downtown Auckland) only takes 8-10 minutes and is dirt cheap.

Basically new market is (no prizes fr guessing) - a market! It has upscale showrooms n cafes where you can shop n relax. Also has a small mall. On a nice sunny afternoon you can head to new market for brunch n shop. Much smaller as compared to its sister queen street in auckland but ut has a dufferent vibe... More

If you're looking for shops, mall or streetside they're not in Auckland central, they're in Newmarket. The good news is, if you are like me and on my own with only my wits to guide me, you can get a train to newmarket from the Britomart station (downtown Auckland). It takes 8 minutes one way and cost $1.90. Easy as.

Starting with the very expensive cars and super cars plus some very up market shops mixed with more affordable places New Market is a great place to dream about spending that ellusive lotto win.
