If you want to buy some new camping equipment or outdoor stuff then there are a few stores here (Bivouac, Kathmandu, Live Simply, etc.) all within walking distance of each other so you can check them all out and see who has the best prices. Other than that there are a bunch of other shops and restaurants, but why waste... More

We have been to the Regent Cinema, part of the Event cinema chain, three times now and on all 3 occasions the staff have let us down. This cinema is fantastic for décor, the large leather seats, and for the comfort of the cinema's themselves. Where this cinema disappoints is the bad customer service. The first time we went my... The main and surrounding roads of Newmarket are fantastic. There is your obligatory Westfield which still has most shops but you also have dotted around a nice mixture of designer stores and also good quality second hand clothing. This is the place to go if you want to wander around and see both boutiques and your usual basics too. Not... More

For me I didn't like the area since I'm not here for shopping, so purpose of visit is main. I guess it's nice if you would like to do shopping. There are some parks near by which has a very nice views from the top.

Forget the shopping malls, all the same type of shops in different cities. If in Auckland - head to Newmarket. Lots of smaller shops and easy to get around.

Well, It is a busy intersection and roads, a row of shops and business precinct, mid range prices, plenty of cafes and restaurants, some of them are really tasty and delicious. Easy to be visited using public transportation, you can use Yellow and Green Busses (The Outer and Inner Link) or by trains, the train station is a junction to... More

I love the hustle and bustle of Newmarket and it has come a long way in 25 years. It's now a hub for upmarket shops and wonderful food places. Parking is strongly policed and best use a parking building to avoid a fine. It's a great place to lose yourself for a few hours doing some serious shopping.

Auckland Central Business District (CBD) may be the main shopping centre in Auckland - but I preferred Newmarket for a more relaxed shopping experience. There are plenty of modern stores and malls where you can get everything you need. What I liked about Newmarket is the relaxed ambience and a good assortment of cafes and restaurants where you can enjoy... More

There are many unique stores and brand names but not too many places to eat. Mix of outdoor and indoor stores so you can visit on a rainy day and come out when it stops raining.

This is a strange place and I wonder why it is mentioned in many travel guides a place to visit. It is nothing more than a street of old worn out shops and funky stores / places. If you are walking through Parnell, you might as well continue a bit longer and you will be in Newmarket. But to go... More
