Literally. A grey day in Auckland we decided to visit, having been away for many years. The wharf is superb and a great achievement to ensure it didn't overwhelm the area but still manage the people volumes. 12 minutes from Princes wharf and so simple....More

Park your car mid-way up the mt then walk the rest of the way to the top. Watch the 15 mins video on the history of the area. Excellent place to walk or track. A fantastic view of the Auckland CBD skyline.

It is a little bit of a precarious walk as the road is used by cars and bikes as well as pedestrians. There is no sidewalk. But the views from the top are stunning, so it is worth the effort to get there.
