Brewery tours run Monday to Saturday, starting from the Visitors Centre, they last approximately 2 hours. The first 1½ hours are spent around the brewery where you'll see our original steam engine, learn about our history and how we make our range of delicious beers. Once outside the Brewery, don't forget to keep an eye out for our working Shire horses, which still deliver beer to our local pubs. If you are planning a visit to the brewery and would like to see the drays on their regular delivery rounds it is always best to phone ahead and check that the shires will be working on that day. In any event, the tour of the brewery includes a tour of the stables so you won’t miss out on seeing these amazing animals. Upon completion of the tour, it's back to our sampling bar in the Visitor Centre for a ½ hour beer tasting. It is essential to book a Brewery Tour by contacting us on the phone or email. Cost: £14.50 per person, £12.00 concessions

This trip was very interesting and allowed us to see the brewing process from start to finish. Our excellent tour guide made this a fascinating visit and was very happy to answer any questions we had. The stairs would be tricky for the not so nimble. Must return to see the Shire horses and the steam engine working (think it... More

We really enjoyed our informative visit to the brewery and especially enjoyed seeing the Shire horses. Everyone was extremely welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. The tasting was generous with some delicious nibbles to go with it and we had some lovely home-made leek and potato soup (with a generous portion of bread) for lunch. They also have some great merchandise on... More

My son arranged a brewery tour to celebrate my birthday. I had been before but some 15 years ago. Our guide, Malcolm, made the tour most interesting and was very generous with the sampling session afterwards. It was great to see the Shire Horses, especially enjoying their daily pint. Overall a lovely experience with extremely pleasant staff. The shop area... More

A great visit round the brewery with a knowledgeable guide and fantastic beer tasting afterwards . I would thoroughly recommend this for a visit back in time to see how beer was made in the past and now using traditional methods to create a great product. Our group then stayed at the Fox Pub in Chipping Norton which is owned... More

We were taken around by Malcolm who told us all about the history of the old tower brewery. It was great to meet the working shire horses. The tasting session at the end of the tour was amazing, a really nice bar and very generous tasting portions. We had a delicious lunch in the cafe of a sharing platter and... More

Very enjoyable couple of hours with our tour guide Scott. This must be one of the oldest surviving breweries that is still in full production, an amazing combination of some modern brewing techniques with traditional labour intensive old fashioned skills. We enjoyed the banter and beer tasting afterwards together with some tasty park pie and local cheeses.

Raised in England I have lived in USA for 27 years. Brought a friend who has a micro-brewery to England to experience English Pubs and Breweries. Out of 6 breweries visited Hook Norton has the most expensive "Visitor Tour" rate. However the tour was fascinating and the history of Hook Norton should be experienced. Of course the beer was first-rate!!
