Redwings Oxhill is currently home to over 80 rescued horses, ponies and donkeys. The centre's staff offer regular 'Walk and Talk' tours and horse care demonstrations, while the Information Centre provides an opportunity to find out a little more about all things horsey. On site there is a cafe serving tasty refreshments as well as a gift shop for souvenirs of your visit, proceeds of which go to support the hundreds of equines in the charity's care. While visiting Redwings Oxhill, you may like to support the work of Redwings by sponsoring one of their friendly resident Adoption Stars, either for yourself or as a thoughtful gift for a friend or loved one. A year's membership to the Redwings Adoption Club costs just £12.50! Oxhill's Adoption Stars include Major a stunning Shire cross, Wensley a mischievous miniature Shetland, and an entire herd of donkeys all waiting to meet you! Open every Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday from 10am to 4pm, all year round.

We visited this place on a friends recommendation and we were not disappointed. What a superb afternoon we all spent. The horses are all really well looked after and happy and the staff very informative. There is a really lovely gift shop and a small café. There is no charge for entry but the staff on reception were really helpful... More

Such a lovely way to spend an afternoon! We went on a cold November day and still had a great time! I really love when a charity thinks how to make their plight work economically and this is great! Walking round and having lots of love with the variety of Horses and Donkeys was great, the place is very well... More

We were staying in Banbury a few days and I really wanted to visit this horse sanctuary. So glad I did, it was soul soothing to see these lovely animals being looked after, and to read their heartbreaking stories (some, not all come from tragic circumstances). The staff are really welcoming and helpful, anything you want to know just ask... More

If anyone like myself loves horses, or you have kids that are pony mad or loves donkeys, then I definitely recommend this place. This is my special place and I love coming here with family, friends and my fiance. There are loads of horses, ponies and donkeys to see in a lovely countryside setting that's really relaxing, and beautiful and... More

I spent a very happy hour looking at the beautiful well kept horses, ponies and donkeys. They all seemed really happy, which they deserve to be, reading the history sheets available by the paddocks some them had had dreadful lives prior to being rescued. Guided walks available at certain times on the day I visited but not sure if this... More

We drove out from Stratford to support this charity for horses. On arrival an A4 poster in the window informed us that summer hours had changed. As a result it was not open as advertised on their leaflet, as taken from a stand of leaflets aimed at tourists in Stratford. Utter waste of time. My recommendation, therefore, is to call... More

Firstly I'd like to point out even though my title states "great value" Redwings is free to enter! This astounded me on visited therefore my guilt complex made me visit the cafe (great value) and sponsor a pony (£12ish) to make it feel like I had contributed slightly. My child loved all the horses, donkeys and ponies and it was... More
