After a month of planning and researching, Chateau De Seuil was my top choice for our first wine tour and tasting in Provence. Our guide Richard did not disappoint. He took us through the entire production of the vineyards Rosé, White and Red wine. Explaining with detail and enthusiasm, Richard created an experience that set the bar high for other vineyards. It didn’t take us long to decide the tasting was worth not only a bottle of their delicious rosé but also a bottle of their white. This romantic vineyard was made for the traveling couple.

Went to visit on our Abnb hosts recommend, s glad we did! Simple drive from Aix-en-Provence, beautiful country roads. Greeted by a young woman who is interning here. Very good English and very wine knowledgeable! Loved the wines bought two bottles for dinner. Lovely, Highly recommend!

arrived around 1630 on a Friday afternoon; only a couple of other people there. A representative quickly greeted us for a tasting but made clear that he was busy getting ready for the next day. Quickly tasted three wines and left. The wines are nice [only opened the typical three] and well-priced. We bought one of each. The building is modern and spare. No discussion of location or history, etc. Hope there are other, more entertaining wineries to visit.

After checking the winery website, we decided to take a ride from our hotel in Aix. We arrived after driving several km on a narrow winding and treacherous 2 lane drive to the winery.Inside the gift shop we were told that tours and tastings are only available with a prior reservation. NO WHERE on the website does it specify a required reservation. In fact it states:”wine tasting available everyday M-F 2:00-7:00.” Their attitude was arrogant and very dismissive when I mentioned their website. Find another winery to visit!!

Dear Dminsun, We are sorry your experience at Château du Seuil wasn't the one you expected. As a matter of fact, the tours are on reservation only as specified on our website (http://www.chateauduseuil.fr/fr/oenotourisme). Nevertheless, our customers are able to come and drop by for a free tasting during our opening hours 7/7 days. We hope you understand that we cannot schedule full tours without an appointment during our high season. Best regards, Team Château du Seuil
