I heard there is a better one just a little bit further. The water in the river is not really beautiful nor clear and you can not reach the waterfall itself... The trek was really nice though (1h)

It's really easy to find and about 1 hour drive from Labuan Bajo. Follow yhe toad to Rutang and then at some point you see signs for the waterfall to the left which bring you to a 4km road which is not the best road but still easy to ride. Maximus who was working at the tourist office asked us... More

We hiked in to Cunca Wulang accompanied by a village guide paying 200,000 rupiah for the service and consider it money well spent! We are always mindful that we hopped on a plane from our country to come and enjoy the differences that another country offers...we have the option to take something for nothing or to be able to be... Be aware of the village people that offer you to be your guide. One of them tried to cheat us and wanted 200 000 rupiah for guiding 2 people down and up again which took around 2-3 hrs. Normally you should not pay more than 100 000 for one guide. The hike through the jungle is actually quite nice. Unfortunately... More

I went through a lot of reviews on TripAdvisor before I headed for the waterfall. Many ppl complained about the local guides of pushing tourists to hire them with a over-high rate. In terms of my personal experience today, it was totally awesome. It took us a while to find the right branch road to the waterfall by scooter, but... More

The waterfall is easily accessible by taking a motorcycle and a 30-45min hike. The trekking trail is not very demanding but some parts are tricky due to the terrain and missing paths (jumping on stones to pass the a small river etc.). Please take care with the slippery stones! Unfortunately, we were not able to take a single picture of... More

The Waterfall was nice. The Jump was about 7m high but you could also jump from 3m to 1,5m points. When you are in the Village - Take a Guide and don't drive with the bike down there. (trust me ;) ) You will also need good Shoes and Beachwear

Cunca Wulang Waterfall located about 1 hour from Labuan Bajo and continue with walking around 3 minutes. Our Tour operator from Labuan Bajo said that this is the closest place to visit inland of Flores if we have only have 1 day. I dont know how much really the entrance fee here, because all paid by our tour organizer. And... More

The place is gorgeous with a few platforms you can jump from. The lowest I think was about 8 metres high. The current can get pretty strong especially swimming towards the directions of the waterfalls. The stream in the waterfalls pool is strong with swirling current so I would not recommend going into the pool alone or going in there... More

Yes, flip flops may not have been the best choice this day. Following the spry 50+ year old guide we were assigned I soon realised that his years living in this mountain village region gave him a far superior ability to wear minimal footwear than my soft white feet could muster. After an hour or so of traipsing over roots... More
