Took myself along to have a look. I was very impressed of how interesting it was. The village has grown since I was last here. It has a fire engine exhibit, which kids can have a photo with Mater. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and at the end I purchased teas & damper for only $5.00

We were amazed at the amount of buildings and machinery that had been accumulated. We arrived at 3pm and only had an hour; you need to allow at least 2-3 hours or more. The pioneer cottage, with hearth, cot, dog and undies on the line, showed how things used to be. Everyone in a space about the size of a... More

We very much enjoyed our visit to the Pioneer Village, despite the constant rain. There is quite of variety of buildings and contents and there is something there for everybody from old vehicles and wagons, to ambulance history, craft for blacksmiths, tinsmiths, dressmakers, etc. There are old radios, and coral displays. The buildings have been rescued from a variety of... More

Wow, what a place. We didn't have near enough time to see all the specialist displays, but managed to enjoy a billy tea and damper, the transport museum, the ambulance museum, the bicycle collection, the energy museum and a few of the many old buildings. Got to get back there soon to explore some more. Totally run by volunteers -... More

A visit to this place is like taking a step back in time. Great place to take the kids to see how things were done in days gone by, for older folk it will bring back lots of memories. Best time to visit is the Easter weekend as everything is working with lots of demonstration.

This open museum has plenty to offer. Wander around at your own pace and see all there is to offer. Like stepping back in times. Great exhibits. Finish the day with Billie Tea and Damper served by the lovely volunteers who will make you feel at home.

The volunteers are the best asset of this pioneer village as they are friendly and informative. My partner and I spent a fair while looking around the village and our favourite parts were the car / bike museum and the church. As I'm a history buff, I am always searching for historical homesteads to view.
