We stopped by Sugarbush vineyards on our last visit to the County. One we had not been to before. The wine tasting was nice, in the basement of their house (I assume). What was of more interest was the opportunity to go snowshoeing and walking through the vineyards. I guess we should have looked into it more! The owner (again... More

Combining an outdoor activity like snowshoeing with wine tasting is pure genius. The grounds are beautiful and perfect for a one hour snowshoe trek around it. You can rent them for $15, which also gets you a wine tasting when your walk is over. It also helps that the owners are lovely people and passionate about what they do. Had... More

Nice looking vineyard and the wine is pretty good, but the garage where it's made is not great. I've never seen so many fruit flies and hornets all over the equipment. I don't really want to know there are hundreds of crushed flies in my wine.

Thank-you for stopping in the other day. Harvest is such a busy time and as we love the fact that our winery is open for folks to be able to see how everything is processed. We often hear that our winery was the most interesting as folks can see the grapes, taste the grapes, talk the wine maker, ask questions... More

This was stop #2 of three today. The first thing you see getting out of the car is the exquisitely manicured vineyards, straight out of a postcard. One of the owners was in vat area (garage) and was happy to chat with us about his winemaking and local resto options. We had a quick walk through the vineyard and admired... More

One of my favourite stops. Good wine and I've had the owners serve me on both visits which makes for a nice experience. Their new puppy is adorable.

We recently enjoyed another fantastic day touring wineries throughout Prince Edward County. Our last stop was Sugarbush Vineyards and as usual, we left with several bottles of their "Not Red". As the name implies it's a great little white wine. This family operated vineyard is a "must stop" for anyone who enjoys a great Pino Grigio or Reisling. I would... More

Small winery with good selection and award winning wines. Be sure to stop you wont be disappointed. this is a small artisanal vinyard that uses only their own grapes. We loved their Gewurztraminer 2014 and cabernet franc 2014.

I thought Sugarbush was nice but its not really a place you feel like you can hang out for a while. The winery is set in the basement of the owners house and you can hear people walking around upstairs with music and tv. The wines were excellent though so it was worth the trip.

Hello there, we were very glad to read that you thought our wines were excellent. We work very hard and are very proud of the fact that all our wines are 100% estate grown. We were sad to read you did not enjoy the experience of our winery. We are a small family owned and operated vineyard and winery and... More

A small family run winery infused with infectious enthusiasm by Sally (ex UK Pat) and Robert Peck which deserves to be visited and patronised. We called late afternoon mid week in the middle of their Pinot noir harvest and we obviously weren't able to buy any wines, but Sally dropped everything and was a delightful tasting hoste - they have... Lovely time at Sugarbush winery! We enjoyed our chat with Sally, the owner. We tasted some lovely wine while our five kids were invited to play with a whole array of dinosaur toys - really appreciated! It gave us plenty of time to enjoy the wine and the conversation. Thank you Sally and keep those toys in the tasting room!!!
