Mesmerising, breath-taking, amazing, awesome - just some of the words our visitors use when they talk about RSPB Bempton Cliffs. Around a half-a-million seabirds - including gannets, puffins, kittiwakes and razorbills - flock here in spring and summer to raise their family. Six, safe, cliff top viewpoints give spectacular views of the nesting seabirds and the dramatic coastline. The new Seabird Centre at the heart of the reserve tells the story of the wildlife on the cliffs and why it makes it home here. Three of the viewpoints are fully accessible with a hard surfaced path linking them in a circular route. RSPB Seabird Cruises sail from Bridlington Harbour throughout the season giving visitors an incredible opportunity to see the colony as seabirds swoop and soar all around. In autumn and winter, when mists fall and winds blow, a clifftop walk is a great way to blow away the cobwebs. RSPB Bempton Cliffs is one of the truly unmissable British wildlife spectacles.

This is an outstanding RSPB site for watching birds with parking or can be reached walking the coastal path. There are well maintained viewing platforms with spaces for the disabled to use

Try to pick a calm day as the winds in the area can be rather chilly. Very informative and comes with a decent café and gift show selling a wide range of items

We do not hide the fact there is a public footpath to the cliffs. However, all the 'really nice' and 'well maintained' features mentioned in the review, from the fences to the information boards ,cost a lot of money to keep in pristine condition -...More

It's one the most spectecular (to me) places in England. Lots of bird everywhere, however its the place i wanted to to see not the birds. It's free off season but it would worth £5 anyway. Good for a romantic walk, or walk with the...More

Visit here in mid summer to see the hoards of gannets and their young clinging to the cliffs. Armed with binoculars we were also very priviledged to spot harbour porpoises and the elusive puffin (gorgeous). The RSPB have made this place accessible for all with...More

This is one of our top RSPB places we visit regularly. The reserve is well looked after, the staff are enthusiastic and the facilities are excellent. There is easy access for young and old and there are lots of staff about to answer questions.

Just to clarify our entrance charges - parking is included in the admission fee. There is a public footpath to the cliffs but we make an entrance charge in the Seabird Centre to cover both the maintenance of the facilities on the cliff tops (everything...More

Hello - a late response from the cliff tops - dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. This keeps our ground nesting birds safe and also prevents dogs getting over excited and running towards the cliff edges.

Hello - yes, and the puffins were showing well today. Our daily Puffin Patrols run until 21 July. And that's more or less when the puffins start disappearing from the cliffs. So you need to visit soon. However, please... More
