The first part of this hike is fairly easy, but for the more adventurous you can go on and get to the bottom. Well worth the extra effort!

We visited here in June 2017. It was a cool morning(9.00am), and parked up, after a short drive on the dirt road. Just two other cars parked up, so not to busy. There are washrooms here if needed. We made our way along the trail...More

The 30 minutes it takes to walk through the forest to get to the veiwpoint area is well worth the walk. Path starts off wide and flat but gets narrow, littered with roots and several minor slopes to walk up and down. Be care not...More

From the parking lot the trail starts off flat and wide eventually narrowing and towards the end becoming steeper. It is a relatively easy trail(relative to the Rockies). The view of the waterfalls and river with the mountains in the background is spectacular.

Great falls. Easy to get to. Crowds not bad. Yoho is a great park. Canada is a great neighbor and friend to let Americans in for free during their 150 year celebration. Enjoy the picture but go see it in person, please

At the height of tourist season (late June), you'd think this would draw more people... but nope! And, we're not complaining. 1.5 mile hike back from the parking area to the falls. Easy and flat. The sign to the parking area is only on the...More

Easy access from the highway, the trail is well maintained and suitable for all age groups. Right at the first viewing area was a little steep for some and could do with some handrails. (I saw one older lady sliding down and hitting her knee...More

Enjoyed the walk in and falls. Went here as Takakawa road/falls was still cut off by avalanche. Guess I'm a bit spoiled -- I'm one hour to Niagara Falls, which is really stunning.

Be careful with where your GPS tells you the trailhead is... it is located INSIDE Yoho national park and not outside the boundary...one of our phones took us to the "Wapta Recreation Area" which offered a good faraway view of the falls but was not...More
