Desolate beauty
Oct 2020 • Couples
Part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, and truly one of the most beautiful beaches in the Carribean. To arrive, from Pedernales or from the east rent a boat at the entrance around the point, though a few 4WD, motorcycles, seem to show up. FWD, and I suppose you could walk back after you get stuck and hopefully have someone winch you out. They bring in groups of people for as much time as you want. Gotta leave by 4:30 as that's usually the cut off. Very few people, sometimes no one else.
And the water is just amazing, when was the last time you just floated on your back, bobbing in light surf, dozing off cloud watching? Yeah, i know.
Snorkelers, some turtle grass, lots of starfish. I did manage to see an 18 inch long Chain Moray out hunting between some rocks. Yellow and deep black irregular pattern, it was striking. And no, it wasn't any kind of threat to swimmers.
Amazingly enough BUSEO (scuba) Pedernales, same location as the boats can take certified divers to coral12-17 meters deep. The coral is absolutely pristine, and relatively inexpensive. In Pedernales Eagles Bay Divers provide simular dives.

Words cannot do it justice. See for yourself!
Lovely day at an untouched beach. Not too many people there. All were sitting in separates areas along the shore.

Beach heaven
Feb 2020
Stayed overnight in a cabin in the nearby eco lodge resort.
Took the expensive boat trip to the Bahia de las Aguilas (Bay of Eagles). Beautiful coast line and a beach to die for. Water crystal clear with a scattering of huge colourful starfish.
We ate at the Glamping site restaurant and watched the sunset.
Take note that the road to the park is a rough track for about 2 miles but perfectly driveable.

Best beach in the Dominican Republic
Feb 2020 • Couples
Best beach in Dominican Republic. There are literally 10 people on 5 Km of beach. The sand is truely white. The water looks like a swimming pool, seriously crystal clear. This is the real only paradise left in the Dominican Republic. There are no constructions, no hotels. Unbelievable. After a 2 weeks road trip in this island, I’m ashamed I did not spend my whole vacation in the camping just outside the national park. Everywhere else you go it’s either full of tourist or you end up on a beach which is not worth the trip. Just go.

Worth the drive
Jul 2019 • Couples
We drove from Santo Domingo. It was a very long drive. The roads are dirt when. You get close. We stayed the night by glamping in the suites on the property. We did the private boat tour and they dropped us off with a cooler, sodas, and chairs. We brought our own snorkeling equipment, but there wasn't much to see. The water was flat, clear, and beautiful. This was definitely a highlights of our trip to RD.

Bahía de las Aguilas
Dec 2019 • Friends
Bahía de las Águilas Is truly a gem. Be prepared to drive for a very long time to get there but it totally worth it. Food is available from many different restaurants. You can get a meal for under $10usd. The boat ride for 4 people to get to the beach is about $50usd. We went with Frankylyn. He was very nice. There is secure parking available so you don't have to worry about where to leave your car.

Unspoiled
Dec 2019
Getting to Bahia De las Aguilas is a long six hour trip from Santo Domingo; however its well worth the trip for those looking for an unspoiled beach without any development. A great get away from crowded beaches. Make sure to try the seafood which serves fresh locally caught fish and lobster at the restaurant at the boat dock.

Jun 2019
I spent the weekend at Bahia de las Aguilas Eco del Mar hotel, it was the best weekend ever. Quiet beach to go with your wife or girlfriend and the service at Eco del Mar is 100+ stars.

Best beach in the DR
May 2019
I hesitate to leave this review since the more popular it gets the worse the beach will become, but this place is stunning, the water is crystal clear, and you won't regret your visit. There were a grand total of about 7 people on the beach when we were there.
