We hiked the Leopards Kloof trail which ends at a lovely waterfall. The walk was beautiful, with lots of photo opportunities of birds and the scenic views. Do take water along!

This botanical garden is quite different and interesting. There are not so many plants blooming this time of year but there are many plaques describing the various plants and the geology in the garden. You can also walk up the mountain to the falls and...More

We visited in Autumn, and although not the best season there were still lots of lovely plants and flowers to look at. It was amusing to see how many common Australian garden plants are native to the region and showcased in the Garden. There are...More

We walked through the garden and up to the waterfall. We came back on the Fynbos Trail along the side of the mountain - beautiful views and lovely colours. It is very peaceful and relaxing.

These gardens are wonderful. You can walk on the level or take some of the trails which need a bit more energy. Super views. Decent coffee shop. Plenty of parking. God value

We dropped in on our way back to Somerset West from Kleinmond, the gardens were well kept and there were some longer walks for a little more moderate exercise. We didn't have time to use the restaurant but the location was excellent.

The gardens are set on the edge of the mountainous area and have been sympathetically set into the landscape. It never seems to be busy so although it is linked to Kirstenbosch the gardens are considerably more peaceful. Are you feeling energetic? Walk up into...More

Hi Seeboo, there is sufficient water taps in the garden plus you can buy bottled water at the restaurant. As the others say why risk illness? Enjoy your visit.
