This in another one of SA's smaller botanical gardens that is interesting and informative. I found the staff so helpful. They went out of their way to identify certain plants from photos I had taken on my hike into the gorge. Although the waterfall is not cascading very strongly at present the meander was easy and the destination very pretty.... More

What a pleasure to walk through these beautifully kept botanical gardens. The tranquillity, the mountains and being at one with nature is a marvellous experience in these Gardens. There is also so much to learn about the fynbos vegetation and the Koi San people and the uses they have for medicinal plants. The Garden has beautiful waterfalls and amber pools... More

We discover the garden on our way to bettys beach. Definitely a place to visit with kids or without. If you love nature, tricky little trails and a wonderful view of the bay. Go there. After the hike enjoy a nice bobotie veggy local dish at the gardens restaurant facing a beautiful pound with king blue flowers.

We were blessed to be able to attend the annual Carols at the gardens and it was amazing. Brilliant band with so many children participating and the audience just so lovely.

As two couples with 6 small children, we went for the walk to the Leopards Kloof waterfall for a swim that was an ideal activity on a day that eitherwise the wind curtailed other options. Our youngest was 3 and he was fine with some help. Easy gradual 20 minute walk. You get the key at reception and there's an... More

This is a delightful garden in a magnificent setting. We were anxious to make up for the brief walk we had at our last visit, curtailed because of storm damage. We were not disappointed. The refurbishment is excellent and we were able to reach the waterfall. Being a hot day the cover was welcome but it did deter us from... More

What a beautiful garden in a wonderful setting. Loved the more formal gardens near the entrance then more natural heading up the mountain. Very interesting indigenous plants with lots of information.

What an excellent experience in nature! Our children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. From pictures with Santa, to the circular walk and of course the visiting baboons.
