Campomarino is the nearest beach to Maruggio (5min). It has a beautiful and warm sea but a bit dirty in comparison with the others beach. In the seashore you can find a sublime typical location.

September in Campomarino di Maruggio is one of the most beautiful periods to enjoy the beaches and the tranquillity of this amazing place... we use to stay here to relieve the summer season's stress, dining every night in all the little restaurant around, going to the beach every single day... the weather, useless to say, is wonderful until the middle of October, no too hot like July or June, but lots more pleasant, there is no "scirocco", the famous really damp Italian wind! If you have a car you can take the opportunity to visit all the little towns nearby or the countryside with all the "Masserie" where you could enjoy live the harvest of grape, that one that bring fresh wine for the next year, unless you want to wait until 11th November, to taste the freshly made wine, the "novello", made with same vintage's harvested grapes! we visited this beech as we were recommended to by a friend who said it was the best beech in italy, wow they were not wrong, its sandy beeches stretch for miles great attractions and ammenities
