The Dutch House is a very smart and bright cafe with examples of the art work on display on the walls. It has a relatively simple menu, predominantly pancakes, but you can also have soup, sandwiches and cakes. We shared a savoury ham and cheese pancake and a bacon sandwich and both were fine without being anything special. To be... More

Enjoyable first visit for lunch on a busy Saturday. There are tables inside or you can sit in the outside courtyard. We had savoury pancakes, which cost £9 each, but had plenty of filling and a tasty side salad, to justify the cost. The food is freshly cooked so there is a little wait, but the interesting artwork around the... More

I had visited a few years ago and was very disappointed. However, this time I was extremely pleasantly surprised. My friend and I had excellent coffee and delicious cake whilst we sat in comfort and admired the art work. After coffee we visited the beautiful veg garden, wildlife garden and Eco kids' play area. And if that weren't enough, we... More

Nipped in for a coffee and a pancake. Wasn't disappointed. Lovely light and fluffy pancakes and good coffee. Served by a very informative, friendly and polite young girl. Definitely would go back again

We found this little place as we live quite near but wanted to take friends out to somewhere different for lunch. They specialise in savoury and sweet pancakes but do salads, cakes, bacon sandwiches, soup etc. Tasty food which we partook in the lovely garden. The staff were very sweet with our youngest of 5 years and we also enjoyed... More

Didn't know about the place having driven through Crake because of a road closure. It was the wrong time of the year for a walk around the garden but the sculptures were interesting. The small cafe is adequate for the attraction. We will return in the summer

Excellent food - Dutch variety pancakes (savoury and sweet) a speciality. Wonderful surroundings - the gardens are a joy and there is a local circular walk (dog friendly) from the location. To top this there is also an art gallery, showcasing a variety of modern artists work from photography and paintings to ceramics. Lots going on here and well worth... More

Arrived at the Dutch House to meet a friend for first visit and lunch. Unfortunately blowing and raining so visit limited as unable to explore the outside garden area - visit to Art Gallery with quirky contents (not able to understand Art in any modern form!) proved an interesting half an hour then onto warm cosy Cafe . Excellent savoury... More

Arrived to be quietly surprised. Outdoor or indoor tables. We choose to sit at a table outside in a walled patio overlooking lovely plats and garden. We order a pancake each with one of varied choice of fillings. Both arrived well presented with a great bottle of grolsh. Very tasty and friendly service. We both enjoyed the visit enormously will...
