Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went to the town to see the market and found more than just a market. what a delightful place. A very big British influence in the place in terms of tourists and I suspect Brits abroad so it loses a bit of its authenticity. nevertheless a lovely spot

Amazing little town with lovely cafe’s, bars and restaurants. Walk along the river banks and take in the scenery. Free parking as well and canoeing too. On a par with rocamadour. Two of our favourite places.

We went there with our 3 boys (17,13,8). Even their eyes were wide open. We bought there goat cheese and sea-food. Everything was absoulutly great and super tasty. The buyers were kindful, great atmosphere. The next day, the oysters We bought at the supermarket were much less than the tasty We took from the market. Brantome market is open every Friday morning.

A beautiful town, really picturesque and the market was good too.

By the free parking through the town ( where you get the canoes) in the field next to it, there’s a a spot cornered off for splashing with the kids. Perfect for cooling down.

There’s limited places (7 restaurants dotted about) by the river with the views to eat at lunch time, so get your table early or be prepared to wait. Alternatively grab a baguette and go to the park.

A fabulous place. Make sure to visit off peak though as the roads are closed as visitors peak. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this beautiful place.

Brantome's Friday market is always worth the visit. There is a great mix of food, clothing and other stalls. Friday is much better than the Tuesday event which has only a few produce stalls. Went on Friday this week and bought some lovely strawberries and cherries. If you've not been to a market like this before watch the local people, they know a good deal, or how to choose the best fruit.

We enjoyed the market, especially the
Truffles stand. A lot of variety and the shop keepers were very friendly. It is a beautiful town with a cosy atmosphere. It is very popular so prepare for some crowds. We especially enjoyed eating Armenian Bulki at a stand near the bridge crossing over to the Abbey church. He was so friendly and it tasted great.
