I visited the Amish museum which has a farm, school room and Amish house. It was fun to visit and the house tour informative and interesting. You'll find Amish buggies on the local roads with reflector lights and stopped at the traffic lights! They live by the premise " to live in the world but not of the world "... More

My nan and I really enjoyed the buggy ride and talking to Levi. We also loved the Amish shop were you could try all the different salsa and jams that they make. Although I was disappointed that we didn't see more of the Amish community and how they lived.

Amish View is a wonderful place, many of the rooms face the Amish farmlands. It is wonderful watching the fields being plowed and seeing the young children going to their school house right across the fields. The staff is wonderful in offering suggestions on where to eat especially for those that want true Amish cooking.

Sadly we visited during there down season. The best time to go is May-Sept. But we did come across a few horse and buggies which were fun to see and we had a chance to stop at a boot store that just happened to be opened. We had a chance to chat with the ower (really nice, funny guy) and... More

We visited the Amish country side twice so far; each time, something new. The culture and lifestyle of the old country, preserved to this day. And the PRETZEL ... the MOST DELICIOUS one I have eaten in my entire life. The authenticity of the ingredients does make a difference. To those who are planning a trip... its so worth it... More

Visited amish village with my family in August 11, 2016. It was amazing to see how they live in their own environment and how they survive. They don't use modern technologies like iphone, laptop or any kind of device which we do. Amish men works outside taking care of their livestocks and Amish women play a significant role in the... I have been visiting the Amish Country for over twenty years, and visit multiple times each year! I look forward to my visits as this area is peaceful and the countryside is beautiful. While in the area, there are numerous Amish run quilt and craft shops, bake shops, and places to eat local PA Dutch cuisine.

My husband and I wanted to take a drive through Amish country, during our Thanksgiving vacation to PA. It was a little more congested and crowded (with standard homes/people) than we expected, but overall, was beautiful and a great drive. We saw many from the Amish community gathering for Thanksgiving and outside, playing volleyball, of all things! You feel like... More

The area is very much up to date but has the feel of the past. There are many places to see here, lots to do and so many places to eat. You can take a horse and buggy ride to the countryside to see the amish in their environment or you can visit the many shops with all the items... More
