Best accessed by bicycle over sandy and gravel terrain. The ride and walking contain elevation changes that can be a bit taxing.

We enjoyed the moderately difficult ride out to the wall of tear. Some up hill sections, but all on sand or gravel roads. The wall is one of the few "historical" sites to visit on the islands. Glad we took the ride. Climb the stairs to the lookout hill just before the wall for an amazing 360-degree view.

This is a decent hike but worth it to see the wall and get a history lesson. If you have the time go beyond the wall up the hill to get an amazing view of the whole island - amazing vistas!

This seemed to me as the weakest in our programme, until we did it on our last afternoon at Scalesia Lodge. We decided to opt for bike rental only in case the visit was boring. We started riding our bikes at the Park Shack (vehicles are restricted beyond this point). A lovely dirt road exposes you to at least half... More

We rented bikes at Bike and Surf, in town and took a cab out to the main gate. The cab ride was 5.00. We rode our bikes out the dirt road which is like a fire road. There is some elevation gain on the way out. We saw many Tortoises along the way. Once at the wall we read about... More

This is usually a non guided bicycle tour although you could do it on foot and guided as well. It offers three beaches, a one hour each way bike ride at a comfortable pace, a mangrove swamp that has a short passage to a beach with pelicans and blue footed boobies, and of course, the Wall of Tears with a... We had a great time on our way to the wall of tears. We rented bikes and went from beach to beach. The way up can be pretty heavy at some moments, but you'll enjoy the downhill when going back:)!
