Along the MacDonnell Ranges a series of attractions are found. In one day we visited Simpsons Gap, Standley Chasm (Angkerle Atwatye), Ellery Creek Big Hole, Ochre Pits, Ormiston Gorge, and Redbanks Gorge. And have a swim in one of them. Most have parking and toilets.

Spectacular landscapes and waterholes suitable for swimming in this national park easily accessed from Alice Springs. Definitely worth visiting on a day visit or even better to include an overnight visit to more fully explore all of the wonderful sights in this National Park.

There are a dozen places to visit with different features and varying facilities. Some are privately run or you can camp at many of the Parks attractions as well. The cost to camp is quite low.
