Visited Marathi, a windy day as we were advised that the sea there will be calm without waves. Indeed sea was lovely with sandy beach. Just keep in mind that Marathi is a beach preferred by the locals and it is always crowded during weekends.

Perfect for families--traveling with small children can make lugging kit to the beach a pain. This beach has everything you need, tavernas, sun loungers, parasols, and drink delivered to your sunbed! The viewsare beautiful and the clear water divine.

On the nice beaches close to Chania, thus attracting many people. Well protected from the northern winds, it is very amenable for families with young children. Overlooking the beach is a swath of taverns and cafes with good food.
