About
When you come to see Lake Nupli, you are also welcome to visit the home museum of Gustav Wilff-Ois, the author of the popular Estonian song ‘Orn oobik…’ (Gentle Nightingale). The museum is run by the poet’s granddaughter Mariann Karupaa, who is always pleased to see visitors and will give you an interesting overview of the poet’s life and work. Poet Gustav Wulff-Ois (1865-1946) spent the last years of his life on the Lohmuse Farm on the shore of Lake Nupli. The farm-style museum was created in 1960 as a branch of the Estonian Literary Museum.
