Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Bit of a detour off the Wild Atlantic Way through the Glenveagh National Park & stopped off here for a walk. Totally gorgeous drive though the national park to get here & the valley itself is magnificent. Lovely walk, though I do feel that you need decent weather, & the church was atmospheric as well.

Very picturesque area. Even when visited in misty weather. Well worth a visit and don't forget Dunlewey Church.

Before the Poison Glen, our view was typical of NW Ireland - Dominated by beautiful farms and sheep. Almost without warning, we were in boglands. They are scenic in their own right, but especially so on a damp, cloudy day. Our Rabbie's tour driver did an excellent job of explaining the terrain and the economics and environmental impact of turf cutting and use as fuel.

This is a stunning area. Perfect for walking, but good footwear needed as rocky and boggy in places. Beautiful area.

The viewing point is beautiful, any time of the week. But it is significantly more interesting on the weekend. That's when Morris and his "Mini Bean" is there. Damn great coffee and a chat. Oh yes. The view is amazing, too.

Even if the weather is not the best, the scenic drive along the lake is something everyone visiting the NP of Glenveagh should do.

Nice little historical church to visit in Gweedore. Plaque with explanation of the history. Great photos. No one else here. The kids asked to visit this site.

We drove down into the glen this evening. The roofless church is quiet and worth a few minutes of contemplation but all in all not worth the drive down. The beauty is to be seen on the main road looking down at the church , the lake , forests and the wall of rock which is the frame of the glen. Stunning.
