today I took my 3yr old grandson for a fun day out only to find that John Deere Land was closed and deserted - anyone know the reason why?

Sadly for us, it no longer exists. Back to being just a large green and yellow building. Still in Lonely Planet but clearly hasn't been operational for a while.

We spent three hours here - what a lovely place! As a British family, we are unused to the somewhat lax attitude to Health & Safety regulations - but what a refreshing and fun change! We come from the Central Valley in California once a desert, irrigated and now blooms, so visiting this region of the Galillee, which was neglected by the Ottomans and British until Zionist settlers, removed rocks and stones and ploughed, planted an irrigated the soil and also blooms. This "Museum" has many real tractors for kids to climb upon, a virtual reality tractor driving ride, tricycles in the shape of tractors you can ride around the building, a small water slide, and a movie (which we didn't see but were told has no words). Although I would have guessed that this place is most fun for kids ages... More
