Very peaceful place to visit, pray and learn about/reflect on history. Last came here over twenty five years ago. Certain areas appear quite changed. Anglican Visitors Centre, which I am told has been open nine years now, is brilliant. My husband and I met a...More

Very peaceful grounds, well worth the visit, if only to take time out of a busy day. Don't miss the chapel and the cafe is very reasonably priced.

From other reviews I gather that there is some confusion over the shrines. I am here reviewing the Anglican shrine in the village centre. The Catholic shrine is known as "The Roman Catholic National Shrine of Our Lady" and reviewed separately. This is both a...More

I'm glad that I visited this place but I did feel that I had stepped back in time to before the Reformation, with saints, relics etc. It was welcoming and colourful. The restaurant is excellent.

I have to say that my only reason for going to Walsingham, whilst on holiday in Norfolk last week, was to please my wife, who is a Christian. As a total unbeliever and a dreadful old cynic, I assumed that the whole place would be...More
