Having been to Norfolk a number of times, this was my first trip to this village and the history reaching back over 500 years is fascinating.

This shrine offers peace, tranquility and a sense of worth regardless of your religious persuasion. There is a host of information about the shrine in the very well set out welcome centre.

We went on Saturday with other members of our church some on a coach to celebrate mass with our curate who was initiated as Shrine Priest. The village is very quiet and it was great to just sit in the grounds of the shrine and listen to the birds and relax after a long journey. We were made so welcome... More

This was somewhere on our list to visit as we live so close anyway. It was a co-incidence that the snow drop walk was available that weekend. It was a beautiful walk and the admission fee went to charity. The day was beautiful and the grounds and snowdrops were a lovely and special experience, there are areas where they are... More

I visited following the funeral of my son and found the place so peaceful and comforting. I lit a candle and sat quietly with my thoughts and although there were many other visitors, everyone showed great respect for the surroundings. A wonderful, serene atmosphere.

Walking around this peaceful and beautiful shrine brings a great sense of well-being to your soul. It is beautifully kept and must be a super place to be involved in worship .

Accommodation open to none pilgrims as well very reasonable b&b (£43 per night) rates. Comfortable accommodation and good food for the price. Beautiful setting near numerous interesting places to visit and the coast.

We stopped off here on our way to the north Norfolk Coast after being told about it by a friend. As this was mid week in early January we had the place to ourselves which made it feel very special and gave us the opportunity to reflect in silence. Not sure how we would have viewed it had it been... More

This is a beautiful shrine with many historical points of interest. If you could guarantee a quiet day for a visit it would be a wonderful place of peace and solace. Unfortunately, so many large groups seem to go (at least on the day we visited) that it rather spoils it. While we were there, a huge group, well over... More
