Because they are there. Why go to Chek Jawa? You wouldn't go out of your way for it. But you won't have to as you are already on Pulau Ubin and it is 80m down the road. Top surveyor. Solid jetty. Imaginatively named island.

We cycled around the island and stopped by Chek Jawa and took a stroll. Managed to catch some wild boars feeding at the entrance and also saw some mudskippers but actually was hoping to see a bit more animals. Nonetheless, it's a good place to...More

We took some friends from Hong Kong and they marveled about how natural it is. Yet at the same time the Trek was not too difficult as there were broad walks. Nice because one was the mangrove walk and the other the coastal walk -...More

The Chek Jawa wetlands and coastal path are the real highlight of a trip to Pulau Ubin, Singapore's best kept secret attraction. A fairly long walk, but exhilarating bike ride from the main petty, do first visit the information centre tucked among the trees, then...More

Best part of Pulau Ubin. The only downside is all the rubbish that washes up from Singapore and Malaysia. We need to organise a working bee to clean it up! Otherwise the place is well managed by the national parks service.
