So we arrived for the 4pm tour (last tour of the day), we were the only 2 there, so i thought maybe they'd cancel or validate our tickets for a future tour. Nope our tour guide Pete took the pair of us in to the cave and gave us the most in depth tour, not missing anything out or wanting... More

Having little expectations of a cave in a London suburb, we were surprised how great the tour was. There's a great emphasis on the caves being used as shelter in WW2, but you'll also learn about the much older usage of the caves. Great for a short family event in the weekend when you're in the area. We'll also be... More

Hadn't been since I was a school boy and now 41!! Took my 8 year old and he loved it! 'Gotta be at the front daddy! I don't want to miss anything!!' Fab history and tour especially liked being left in the dark with the 'gong' but I didn't volunteer my son did! Daredevil - made us all the group... More

We've visited the caves a couple of times with family. It's a great way to spend a few hours and is very interesting in terms of the history and war years. On site parking and a cafe.

There was notting wrong with the tour guide or the place. The caves are big (many miles long) so it is such a pitty that the tour only last a hour.

Just get into your head before handing over your money - that these are man-made caves and there are no hints of stalagtites or stalagmites or underground lakes - this is no Wookey Hole. This attraction can really only be appreciated for its historical context and nothing else, i.e Druids, Romans, and World War II. Thankfully it's very cheap. Our guide... More

What an excellent attraction. The tour guides are brilliant and informative. Nice one site cafe with reasonably priced good food. Fair sized car park and very reasonably priced entry fee. Unsuitable for people who are unsteady on their feet as uneven floor and also not good for people with claustrophobia as very dark and with low ceilings in places.

My wife, daughter (aged 12) and I visited during the February half-term break. We arrived for the first tour of the day - the 10:00 tour - only to find that the group was just us three! Despite our low number, we were delighted that the tour still went ahead. The caves are fascinating and have a history well worth... More

Although away from the main roads and tourist route, the caves are a must for a visit. Incredible to think what's underground in Chislehurst and how much history they have. Brought back fantastic memories of visiting in my youth for discos and seeing bands.

I have lived in the area for a number of years but only recently made the trip to visit the caves. It took a while to locate but good parking and hut for a cup of tea before the tour was very welcome. The tours are on the hour. Our tour guide was a long term member of staff with... More
