This is Michelangelo's place of birth. Good welcome and explanation of the site in English by the person at reception, we were then left alone to wander. It's good to visit, the views are fantastic, but.... there's not really a whole lot there. I thought...More

Nice for an hour to walk around and see the house and sculptures. The scenery is great and it is nice to visit the beautiful house but do not expect to see real art, just some mockups.

As described by many others - Michelangelo was born here but for me that was enough. I am not an art student or historian and I do not know much about the works of Michelangelo - none of which were even visualised until many many...More

They rely on the fact that this famous person , michelangelo, is born here. But he left this place when he was 6 months, and did leave and traces behind here. He just was born here but did not grow up here.

A beautiful ride up to Caprese ( definitely avoid going via the provincial highway). The town includes the church where Michelangelo was baptized (closed) and the house where he was born and remains of a fort his father was responsible for. All the Michelangelo work...More
