Happy Bay delivered exactly what we were looking for in a beach. We wanted seclusion and clear, clean water. The "hike" over from Friar's Bay was super easy (this coming from an out of shape American ;) haha). We did it in flip flops and...More

There are three ways to get to this gem of a beach. First from Friars Bay beach up a 15 minute path that is a rocky walk up and down a hill at the end of the beach or from a road down a bit...More

Definitely one of my faves!! Absolutely love it. Water was nice and clear, and it was not too crowded.

Happy Bay Beach is small - maybe 2 or 300 yards. It is an interesting 20 minute walk from Friars Bay. There are iguanas, aloe plants and cactus along the way and then you come to the beach. It is across from the near midpoint...More

It has now been ruined and is accessible by road and hosts a music festival. This was a hike in, remote, and mostly unknown beach. "call some place paradise, kiss it goodbye"

Great spot, very quiet and secluded with barely anyone there. I had a hard time figuring out how to get there. So I made a picture with directions – see pics! We brought chairs, umbrella's and coolers, everything we needed to spend the day! The...More

This was a wonderful pet friendly beach. We dropped anchor about 50 yards out and float/swam in. There were many nude sunbathers and everyone was friendly. come early if you want a shade tree or bring your umbrella.

My daughter loved the surf. The water was an amazing color, soft sand and unbelievable views. This is a nude beach though so beware when bringing children that there will be nudists there.

SaIled into happy beach at the end of a boating day with friends. The captain told us the name of the destination but omitted the fact it was clothing optional. Beautiful white sand for comfortable day and trees offer shade for sunbathers. Water warm and...More

Our 3rd visit in the last year to St Martin, and always to Happy Bay. My wife and I have been considering buying property up on the hill (Mount Choisy), BUT now are not so sure. It seems there is a lot more development to...More

Questions & AnswersAsk a question
Would my wife and I feel comfortable nude sunbathing at Happy Bay. We are rather new at it and want to enjoy it. We also want to swim nude in the ocean, is that a problem. Are there areas that offer privacy. What is the best day of the week to visit Happy Bay and have the beach to ourselves or at least very few people. If this is not a good beach for being nude, which ones are. Less people the better.

Great beach for newbies!!!! Not the weekend as locals tend to gather but during the week would be great.

Yes. It wasn't clear to us exactly what was being built or how extensive it was going to be - only that the pace seemed unhurried.
