About
Percorsi con Gusto was born in 2011 from the love for cuisine and excellent food, which has to be authentic, local, away from the mechanisms of mass distribution and close to those of the short chain. Percorsi con Gusto aims to keep alive the Umbrian and italian tradition of the past, marked by a slow scan of time and by the concept of proximity and "local". Much of the Italian tradition is built around the table and the "home-cooked". It is out of this concept that comes PcG. To keep alive one of Italian greatest treasures, the cuisine.

Truly the best part of a two week trip
Oct 2019
Everything about our evening with Lorena exceeded our expectations. We knew we would spend some time in a charming Estruscan village with picturesque landscapes. We knew the food would be incredible. We knew it would be a private class, just the two of us and the instructor. What we had no idea about was all of the added touches and wonderful moments that would make this the hands-down best thing we did on our two-week honeymoon in Italy.

Lorena is patient and funny and knowledgeable. She is organized and calm and engaging. Her home is magnificent and the surrounding area is truly a slice of heaven. She recommended us the most incredible place to stay, made suggestions of places for us to visit, and in every other way was the consummate host. Not only that, once we sat down to eat our delicious creations, she was a tremendous dinner companion!

We learned so much, and even though we left Italy saying "there is so much we still need to see" I don't think I could go without a visit to San Gemini to see Lorena.

A wonderful truly Umbrian culinary experience
Jun 2019
In June this year our group of 8 enjoyed a wonderful intimate culinary experience with 'Lorena' and her lovely daughter Leslie. It really felt like home, both the cooking experience and then enjoying it in her lovely garden afterwards. Thank you, we would love to do it each year... building up our menu on this great culinary journey.

Umbrian Cooking
Sep 2019 • Friends
Chef Lorena was personable and very helpful with every aspect of our stay in San Gemini. She is a great chef and I learned many new things although I have been to an Italian Cooking School before. We were a group of 4 and Lorena came to our villa for the lessons. Because of that she was less than perfectly organized and we had sometimes to ask questions to know what recipe we were chopping for. Her style of teaching is probably best suited to those who have quite a lot of experience although she was more than willing to help my nieces who were new to making pasta, etc. The food we prepared was exquisite.

Well below par
Aug 2019 • Friends
Lorena and her cooking school were recommended by the booking agents of the palazzo we had booked in San Gemini. We were a big party booked well in advance and menu agreed. We had all done classes in past. Whole thing was a true disappointment. Quality of the produce used was very poor compared to what we had bought ourselves in the local markets. The wine offered was cloudy and somewhere between cider and wine. Actual cooking / preparation guidance was negligible. Overall very very poor experience. Finished off by astronomical price per head particularly when then compared to prices in local hotels and restaurants. I hope for her sake that her new restaurant is better.

We never had a review like that The quality of food is really good! I both all the food in a good shop , no in the supermarket! We give to the group a welcome drink with a cake that we made it. We give water and juice. 3 hour cooking class , then the dinner in the garden. We give a little appetizer, dinner, limoncello and we ask for coffee. The only problem was the wine and I don’t understand why you didn’t tell me something! The day after I delivered 5 bottle of wine to your house! We were with the group for 5 hours and plus 4 hours to prepared the class! During the class we tried to explain but people talked each other! I ‘ve been doing cooking classes from 8 years and I never have a problem like that! I also did a discount! No more words !

An authentic Italian cooking course
Jul 2019 • Friends
What a treat to attend Lorena and Lesley’s cooking course. A charming team taught us to make pasta and a variety of traditional Umbrian sauces, followed by a veal dish and then tiramisu. How proud we were of our efforts as we enjoyed our lunch in the shade of a lovely apricot tree with local wines to accompany the apricot tree. A visit to Umbria is surely incomplete without a morning at Percosi Congusta cooking school!

Umbrian Cooking Delight
Jul 2019 • Family
We found a true gem of an Italian cooking school. Chef Lorena and her gorgeous daughter Leslie offer a cooking course in their home in San Gemini. Lorena is organized, and full off great information about Italian food. We made a pasta dish, a main and a pudding and ate everything we had cooked in Lorena's garden. A delightful experience on every front. Will definitely return to do another course. Thanks so much Lorena and Lesley

We took a cooking class and it was amazing. Engaging, friendly, interactive. A bucket list activity and a must do.

Not only did we learn so much, the food we cooked and dinner table layout was extraordinary and a one of a kind experience.

Learning to cook truly Italian
May 2019 • Friends
Our group of 11 had a hands on cooking lesson from Lorena, asssisted by her daughter, Leslie. Chef Lorena made it so fun for all of us. She is incredibly well organized, everything ready to go when we came in. She is very patient (especially making ravioli!). The food and whole experience made our stay in San Gemini truly unique. I highly recommend this experience for a small or large group.
