A UNESCO gem
Sep 2021
This church is one of five wooden articular protestant churches unique to Slovakia, and very much a part of its history of religious freedom reforms. This one is special because the exterior is painted white, so if you are looking for a dark brown wooden church, you may miss it! The interior is stunningly painted and decorated - very unusual for protestant churches. There are guided tours in Slovakian every half hour (with a lunch break) and the guide, a local parishioner, is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. I believe a printout is available in different languages summarizing the tour. They have frequent concerts thanks to exceptional acoustics. Your 3 euro ticket also includes an entry/tour of the neighboring “new” evangelical church, which has a unique story and architecture of its own. A small fee to be able to take photos. If you only have time to see one sight in Kezmarok, this little church is it.

Hidden miracle
Jul 2019 • Family
From the outside, nothing announces how wonderful the interior of this church is. And it is beautiful, has an amazing vault, organs, decorating ... everything.
Making photos inside is not allowed but you can find some in the internet - take a look and visit that place. It's worth it!

This is an amazing church - my understanding is that nails were not used, just wooden pegs. It is a joy to see.

A wooden church, with its unique climate. It is really worth to see. The church is open 9-12 and 14-17. We were 16:30 and it was too late to visit with quide. We were just allowed to enter and see for a while.

Nice church with interesting history... but much less impressive than some other wooden churches, like the one in Swidnica (Poland)

A wooden church in the center of the town with an impressive interior. The interior is all of wood without any metal item. The paintings are preserved with vibrand colours.

Wouldn't go especially to see it, but if it's on your way.. Also it cost 3 euro each, to go in. Once you go in, it is amazing to see and understand not one nail was used to build it

Beautiful Church made only from Wood
Apr 2017 • Friends
This is a lovely small protestant church made only from Wood. It's part of Unesco Heritage. It was built from Wood only as it was the cheapest material available. Sweedish boat makers are known to help to build this church. Inside are beautiful paintings, very old baroque organ and great acoustic. Definitely worth a visit if you are in Kezmarok.
