It's an amazing park with some wonderful views. You'll have a lot of trail options since small to longer ones. And in every trail there's a waterfall. The only problem is: to reach the park you must have a car. There are no public transportation available to tourists (and this is the worst thing about it). But if you have... More

Lovely, beautiful national park. Over 400 water falls, many caves, gorgeous sites, lots of trekking to do.

Spent a day birding this area. It was outstanding! I will say that you definitely need a guide that knows the area as it is difficult to know where to go if you are not familiar with the territory.

This is a beautiful park with lots of good rock formations and plenty of birds that will keep you very interested! The waterfalls are great as well and if you start early you can get to some of them when they're not so crowded and have a little swim. Was left a little disappointed because I went there with a... The rock formations of Chapada dos Guimaraes are impressive and the bird watching is good. Red and green macaws live the cliffs so a long lens and a refresher on how to photograph birds in flight are essential. We visited the national park with a guide. It would be impossible without a guide. One of the best views is Cidade... More

I would recommend that visitors to the Pantanal stay a little longer and visit the fascinating Chapada dos Guimaraes National Park. This is an area little known by Europeans but is a land of outstanding natural beauty with soaring red sandstone cliffs, isolated rock islands with vertical cliffs, many of which have never been scaled by man, amazing rock formations... One of my friend have recommended me a guide (Marcinha +55 65 9241 7582) to explore the parc of Chapada. She is an independent certified guide. I've text her the day before and she has been really responsive. Since I was traveling on a budget I didn't hire a car (which is the best option to explore the parc) but... More
