Whilst nearly all the beaches are fantastic this is the one that kept drawing us back. Down a single track lane where there's parking in either of the hotel/restaurants (free if you eat/drink....3 euros if not). A beautiful crescent sandy beach, which when the tide...More

A very different beach close to the town of Llanes. It sits in a sort of a funneled gorge that disimbarks in the Cantabrian sea and depending on the tide it could either be completely filled with water or completely devoid of it. The surroundings...More

Great place, awesome to spend the day and enjoy the beauty, super calm water, you can hike the cliffs, take a walk in the shallow water and really cool to watch the water in low and high tide.

Like a mill pond at high tide, great for hiring a SUP or kayak, then great breakers and caves to explore at low tide when it's more suitable for surfing. Beautiful, interesting place.

Popular in summer but not packed. Restaurant, cafe and paddle board hire are available. Water is shallow for a long way so good for small children.

I came here with my family as I'd read great reviews. However, I couldn't believe how smelly and dirty everything was. Lots of flotsam and jetsam washed from the tide and yes, dog poo as dog owners couldn't be bothered to clear up after their...More

We walked from llanes to the cliffs above poo about an 8 mile round trip. The bay looks nice and sheltered and the beach was nice and sandy. The walk is an easy stroll over the cliffs and through residential areas.

An excellent place to walk around on a do-nothing holiday.. the cliffs offer a fantastic sea view, and the beach is quite calm even during high tide.. would be a good idea to pack some snacks especially when moving with kids as the beach side...More

We were just driving by and decided to stop past. This place is amazing. The way the tide comes in from the ocean, and throughout the day changes. Perfect for families spending the day!

Not really my type of beach but be very safe for children when the tide is in. I rated it higher due to the clifftop walk taken from llanes that offers excellent views. Easy to follow path along the coast, NOT the official coastal path.
