Drove 2 hours from Raipur and the only plus was the drive, thanks to the weather. 1. Temple remains closed between 12 and 4 pm. But they allowed us to enter. 2. Very ordinary structure, not worth this long a drive. 3. Food available but between 1130 pm and 1 pm. 4. No Photography allowed, not even in the premises.... More

Sacred Jain temple at Nagpura located around 16 kms from Durg. The foot-prints of saint Tirthankara Parshwanathare placed in a special shrine on the right hand side of the main temple, so that it usually is the first object of worship. Within the Jain community, the temple complex at Nagpura is also known as Shri Uwasaggaharam Parshwa Shrine.

The temple is made of white marble, set on the top of a platform, the spires rise up prettily against the blue sky. Inside the temple are some elaborate chandeliers and shiny ornate... More

Excellent place. However one should also visit the main temple in the old Nagpura village which has the main idol of Lord Parshwanath and kept below a tree.
