We enjoyed a tour of the station by one of the guides who was extremely knowledgeable and engaging. Monday was probably a good choice as we were the only visitors at the time. Highly recommended.

Pre-booked evening visit by 14 of us - age range 45-60. Iinformative talk/tour with two-way interaction encouraged. Knowlegeable host, Andy, who pitched his presentation very well and received a good response from the group. Would suit a range of ages. Learned a lot about the work of the organisation. Highly recommended.

If you never visit anything else in West Sussex you really must go and visit the RNLI lifeboat station in Shoreham, you will not regret it. Our visit was not only informative and interesting but thoroughly enjoyable, presented by people who really know their stuff. I would highly recommend it whatever your age.

I visited the lifeboat station after looking at their website for when they launch on training exercises. This planned I first my way over the river to Shoreham Fort to view the lifeboat hit the water front on and going out to sea. Once the lifeboat was at sea, I visited the station and was offered a tour by a... More

Yesterday I took a group of 16 Senior Citizens (average age 74) for a tour of the Shoreham Harbour Lifeboat Station. They all rated the trip highly. Andy and Paula took us round the station, told us all about the wonderful lifeboat and recounted tales of bravery by the volunteers who man (and woman) the lifeboats in all weathers. An... More

Very moving to be here and hear the stories of heroic rescues and lives saved. Volunteers run the station and are very good at explaining the importance of water safety.

I have visited RNLI Shoreham-by-Sea on 3 occasions now. Learning something new about the volunteers on each visit. The very best is a behind the scenes tour which is usually available. To see what the lifeboat men wear out at sea and realise just how heavy their gear is - a real education! Best of all is to visit on... More
