This is a wonderful small town that is set back in time, worth the 30-45 minute walk up the beach from the Rui Palace Pacifico. Neat little restaurants tucked away along the alleys of town. We also visited the flea market, not that great but a nice way to spend a lovely afternoon.

Went with the Thomson reps but it's a straightforward enough walk to do alone. Bucerias is a lovely town for a stroll around but probably best to avoid the midday heat and crowds unless the market hustle and bustle is your thing.

We have seen a lot of changes over the years and most has been good. The church is lovely to see and it s in the center of town and all the rest stems out from there. It is right on the beach and there are many good restaurants along the bay, so take your time and try lots of... More

Just east of the square is a wonderful Flea Market with anything and everything you are looking to take home. Wonderful people with lots to share. Most spoke English and they priced things in both dollars and pesos. Some even took CCs. Enjoyed a wonderful couple hours wandering the shops talking to the people and negotiating good deals. Don't miss... More

We there on a religious week of festivities. The church was praising the fisherman and their catches. We watched the boats come in, the parade and the music. A wonderful event to be part of. Lots of people everywhere. The streets were packed. With the crowds, it was harder to find a bargooon!!

Great flea market, many different vendors. Easy to deal with the vendors, but also easier to deal in pesos. Nice 1 hour walk from the Samba Vallarta.

When you get a craving for pizza far away from home, this is the place to go. Settled in downtown Bucerius, we stumbled upon this restaurant. The pizza is wood fired with a thin crust, just the right amount of sauce and good portion toppings. It was so good that we had to go again before we headed back home.... More

Spent a day wondering the streets, shopping and eating. Loved the people. Take your time to experience the neighborhood as well as the main squares and shops.

Nice little Mexican town. All the amenities of the city on a smaller scale. We visited while there was a festival, the square was filled with food vendors and the alleys we full of market vendors selling their wares. Bouganvelia covers many buildings and was in full bloom on our visit. The beaches are magnificent with easy access.
