Very useful info. My experience 13th August 2018: From Puerto Vallarta center, took the bus to Walmart (7 peso pp). From Walmart, took the bus to Punta De Mita (31 peso pp) - there is a guy with a timetable outside the bus stop that...More

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!! YOU DO NOT VISIT PLAYA ESCONDIDA OR PLAYA DEL AMOR!!! Do Not let them fool you!! Playa escondida or plata del amor is not on their itinerary. But it's on their front office advertising it. So why lie about it?? The crew is...More

The trip was fairly decent. Expect to wait about 4 hours on a boat taking turns to do activities. The lover's Island was BEAUTIFUL, however me and my wife were informed that everything was already included. That "part" of the tour cost us an additional...More

I booked this a few days in advance knowing that the islas Marietas cave is Nationally protected and requires bookings in advance. Unfortunately this tour does not include access into the cave. This was the aspect I was most excited about for this trip. The...More

Just a multitude of species in a small place ... incredible. The surrounding water is also teeming with life. Unfortunately, it is jellyfish season so we were not able to stay in the water as much as we wanted.

The trip to Marietas islands was amazing even though you can not go to the island seeing all the birds and fish that inhabit on and around the island make the trip worthwhile.

The swim to Hidden Beach is not a snorkel: no masks or fins are allowed on the beach. There can be a pretty strong current but it's not too bad. You wear a life jacket but if you are not a strong swimmer, I suggest...More

Beautiful islands for snorkeling and exploring by boat, but you have to be aware that the government actively patrols here and you cannot explore the land other than a small beach on one side of one of the islands. We saw plenty of fish and...More

Hired a private panga for a boat trip and snorkelling. Spent about 2 hours aboard including a stop off at a private beach. It was early in the day and deserted. Didn't visit the secret beach as figured it wouldn't be too secret with lots...More

Recommend, in order to help preserve the beauty, to sail out close to it and NOT to swim and snorkel there with a group. Numbers of visitors limited and tickets expensive. Sun screen is damaging marine life. The islands are doomed to disappear.. and they´re...More

There wasn't one that I saw and we asked specifically, because i agree that less than 5 hours would be nice. The reason we were told was because it took about 1.5 hours each way just to reach the islands... Hope this helps.
