A quiet corner
Sep 2018 • Couples
Around the Cathedral is very quiet (in September!) and it has a peaceful aura. There are plenty or 1600’s paintings directly to the stone and Byzantine remains of previous church and crypt exposed down one side. Walks around to the left onto the terrace to see the remains of the Messepian walls and those of the temple of Athene. Of course th castle is adjacent too.

Don't miss it
Jul 2018 • Friends
The beautiful Cathedral is right in the heart of the historical centre.
I recommend to enter the Cathedral and visit the nice interior which is always a pleasant and relaxing experience. Please spend some time and stroll around the small streets around it.

The Cathedral is a beautiful space and has interesting ruined crypt apse frescoes to the north side. The warmth and colour of the stone is always impressive.

A calm warm place
Jun 2016 • Couples
This is a tiny place, the whole fortified town is a pearl of the sea. Should be enjoyed not in august but when there are few turists thus you can enjoy the quite living of the dwellers. In the place there is a church a wine cellar and an artisan. Fantastic to have a drink at sunset.

At last!
Sep 2015 • Couples
Over three years we have been to this Piazza full of character & great views. This year we were able to see inside the Cathedral as it was open. The frescoes visible outside are very interesting - I am sure there must be more interesting crypts as well?

Historic centre
Jun 2015 • Couples
Located next to the castle, this medieval church houses some fine early frescoes and an interesting mix of architectural styles. There was a definite Spanish feel to the building.
