The water was duty and polluted. Even the ducks in a little stream looked unhappy. We walked around the south end of the harbour and the walk was pleasant with nice views but not somewhere I would recommend to visitors as a must see.

I drive past the harbour at least twice a day and love seeing it in all weathers and seasons. The reflections of the lights at night or the moon are beautiful.

Very relaxing walking and good views across the marina and water. Good landscape views, trees and flowers depending on time of year.

I love driving past the harbour, it looks different every day. I love it when it's calm and there's a reflection of the hills around. Also at night when the lights reflect off the water.

I drive past this harbour at least four times a day, on a calm day it is beautiful to see the reflections of the hills, rocks, birds etc.

Locals won't notice how beautiful this harbour is because they look at it every day. It is surrounded by beautiful bush and picturesque trees. The low hills give it a lovely backdrop and the colourful bathing boxes make it just that bit more unique. Drive...More

Beautiful views to be had, can even see the South Island. My children enjoyed climbing over the huge rock formations and seeing the aquatic life. They found a starfish and thought that was wonderful. Accessed by Whitireia Park it is a hidden gem! Highly recommended...More

Nice parks. Clean foreshore. The area has a modern reasonably priced and efficient train service to town or up to Waikenae
