La chiesa ⛪️ era situata al centro del paese Castelsantangelo sul nera gravemente danneggiato dal sisma del 2016. Dopodichè è stata messa in sicurezza. Speriamo nel breve tempo di poterla ammirare di nuovo in tutto il suo splendore.

Malgrado la sua semplicità mi sono fermato volentieri in questa chiesetta, mentre ero di passaggio a Castelsantangelo sul Nera.
Non offre particolari motivi di interesse, ma merita senz'altro una breve sosta, anche in considerazione del contesto in cui si trova.

Piccola chiesa cinquecentesca ma dalle origini probabilmente antecedenti, considerate le vicende storiche cui è tradizionalmente legata. La facciata, semplice e spoglia, è in blocchi di pietra, mentre l'interno a navata unica presenta qualche affresco di buona scuola.

Nella piazza principale troviamo la chiesa di S.Sebastiano che fu costruita nel 1528 e possiede al suo interno affreschi del diciottesimo secolo.
La tradizione narra che all'interno sotto il pavimento sia nascosto lo stendardo conquistato durante la battaglia del pian perduto contro gli abitanti di Norcia
