Overlooking the sapphire-blue waters of Lake Tahoe, Heavenly is one of the most unique snowsports destinations on the planet. With more terrain variety, more hidden glades, more rippin’ groomers than any Lake Tahoe resort, you've got plenty of decisions to make.

Spent a weekend at Heavenly in January. Great skiing but the lines were crazy. They had just gotten a lot of snow so I was expecting a crowd, but the resort made it a lot worse than it had to be by not having enough staff and not running all the lifts. For example, when I got off the gondola,... More

Great views of the lake, good snow, large amount of terrain, walking distance to hotels/ casinos. That's where it ends. If you pay $105 for a lift ticket, you should expect a great experience. A major problem is the area is highly susceptible to weather issues such as high winds, rain, and huge dumps of snow. These cause major problems... More

You have not really "seen" SLT until you view it from the top of Heavenly's slopes! You can find me here regularly!

Heavenly is famed for its astonishingly pretty views of Lake Tahoe, but perhaps lesser-known is the potential for LONG lines we experienced in early January (mid week/not public holidays). 30 minutes at the Big Dipper on the Nevada side. A similar story at the main lifts on the California side. Maybe we got unlucky. Gorgeous skiing but the queues =... More

You really cant go wrong with a majority of the mountains in Tahoe but i will say that Heavenly has some of the most unreal views of Tahoe. Great open terrain that ranges from beginners all the way to expert level. I always recommend Heavenly when i go...will definitely be going back again this season!

The one great thing about Heavely is the insane amount of skiable ground, but it is highly succeptible to bad weather. In order to switch mountain sides you need to have the highest lifts working and those are the first to go when wind picks up. Heavenly is designed to have all It's lifts operating and suffers dearly in terms... More

Nothing quite like a blue sky day at Heavenly! Of course it does come at a steep price. Otherwise a 5-star experience. Prices are outrageous. Lodge food on the mountain quite variable and way overpriced - hence the proliferation of skiers and boarders with backpacks - the only way to go. Almost had to do cpr on a non-skier at... More

My daughter and I take a ski trip every January - we are intermediate to expert skiers. As we live in Southern California we usually ski Mammoth but decided to try Tahoe for a change. We drove up and arrived at the end of a good dump of snow and stayed at our usual economy motel - Motel 6 (consistent... More

Great Mountain! The weather was a bit uncooperative and caused several lift and area closures, so we didn't get to experience all the skiing that Heavenly offers. We did, however, get to experience the ridiculously priced burgers and other mediocre food while on the mountain. The thing is, your a prisoner on the mountain. I did not see a ski... More

One of the best ski resort, they have a lot of courses, and you can go from one state to the other skiing,
