Beautiful view driving around the rim of Emerald Bay. If you can find a place to park it is a fun place to hike and bounce around the rocks all while enjoying the beautiful view of the bay. We visited in October so the crowds...More

It was enjoyable to experience the bay from a boat. The boat traffic on a Saturday was very busy in the bay. Bring an anchor so you can relax and enjoy.

The overlook can be quite busy, but most people just stay for a short while to take their pictures then move on around the lake. Been there in the summer and fall and have never waited too long, if at all.

It is about a mile each way, but the slope is manageable if you take your time. The road is crushed stone, so you might even be able to use a stroller if it has large wheels. There were some mini water fall cascades along... More
