Wonderfull views of the lake and bay. Weekends are crowded but worth the time. We enjoyed the views.

On a visit from England. Staying for a couple of days in South Lake Tahoe and came round to Emerald Bay. Not easy to park but well worth the effort. Such a beautiful spot on a lovely day in early September. Quite breathtaking really.

Only a short drive from South Lake Tahoe, and it's a world away. The one mile path down to the lake and Vikingsholm Mansion is well worth the time and effort. The little museum offers good information, and there is a short video too. Additionally,...More

Take the time to hike down to the water and tour the house. The photo opportunities are endless. Stop off the highway on the way back to South Lake Tahoe and get the iconic overlook pictures!

Emerald Bay is such a beautiful place. And to think it is only 2 hours from where I live. We love bringing our company here to enjoy show it off. Anyone we bring to Emerald Bay finds it's beauty unbelievable! A must see!!

We visited Emerald Bay after going to a Museum. We ended up renting Kayaks and going out to the small island where the old Tea House is located. The Bay is COLD but very beautiful.
