We stayed at Clive Cottages, and the owner sells some of his honey to this co-op, so we decided to visit. Wanted to buy some Manuka honey anyway, so... Great place. Nice, friendly, helpful staff, and a nice store. Bought some very good honey. It is near Te Mata and Craggy Range wineries, so if in the area, stop by.

Plenty of hands-on educational equipment for both adults and children. Plus an opportunity to see a live Bee Hive, and plenty of opportunities to savour various types of honey.

Loved it here! Not very big but considering it's free with free tastings it's an excellent little stop! Very good for kids! Has love bee hives to look into and spot the queens! Also activities to do too but still information and interesting for adults. The shop is also lovely, offering honey goods in many ranges!

We had a great time here as a family! It was a well balanced centre, with fascinating facts and insights on bees and honey, huge range of honey to sample, and some entertaining activities for the kids (4yo and 6yo). The shop is also very well stocked with both honey and honey-related products, as well as other gift items and... More

Loved the opportunity to use the "tester samples". Visual display of all aspects of honey production and bees. Interactive displays also available. Staff friendly and helpful. Plenty of off-road parking.

We take our out of town visitors to Arataki. Some love it for the bee information (the meaning of the word sincerely- without wax) Some love the bee related gift shop. All love the honey tasting. My current favorite is tyme.
