This place is a combination of Interesting Attraction, and also an Education Centre. Interesting attractions how people can see different products of honeys coming from different tree sources by bees activities, but also an Educational Centre how these honey are processed and created by bees, with plenty of honeys' themed products. Fun place to visit with the kids. Also very suitable for adults with a little discovery section. There is also some opportunity to taste various kinds of honey before buying some for yourself to take home. The shop is well stocked with honey and all sorts of other products. Visited with our three young kids, we all really enjoyed it. Honey testers was great - especially to taste the more unusual honey flavours before buying! The exhibition on bees and honey is well done for all ages and learn lots, followed by sampling the delicious honeys. Definitely recommend.

What's not to like about free honey! There were so many samples to try and I was lucky pohutikawa was in season and the pohutikawa honey is delicious. There is so much info about how honey is made and the way beehives work. For a city girl k found it completely fascinating. You also can't resist trying on the bee... More
