Fully enclosed, not only keeping it well preserved, but also making it an all weather venue. Housing spectacular mosaics and prints of the rare wall paintings that once adorned the walls, including a Chi-Rho fresco, which contains the only known Christian paintings from the Roman...More

Ruins of a roman villa built around the second century, operated by English Heritage. Unfortunately while the villa is nicely housed and good explanations are provided, including a short movie, there is not a lot of see but ruins. Worth visiting if you have English...More

As keen Time Team viewers this was on our 'to do' list. Fortunately we are English Heritage members therefore we avoided the £2.50 parking fee on top of the adult entry fee of £7.50. We were at the villa for less than an hour, that's...More

We are very interested in classical antiquity so we took a trip out to see the Lullingstone Roman Villa. The exhibit is indoors and is very interesting, especially the artifacts. Well worth a visit.

We found Lullingstone to be a great 'all-weather' English Heritage attraction - it has been very thoughtfully designed as a centre and provides a fascinating exhibition with different amounts of information for all ages. The stream nearby and the wonderful surroundings make it a must-see...More

I first visited Lullingstone with Junior School. Become a member of English Heritage (look around on line for discount codes) and been a few times, more recently with one of the children. Really great place to visit, a large site and has an amazing story...More

Spent about 1 hour here, visiting the villa, down a long single track road, and then a really small car park, where most people were not moving - just sitting in their cars - which was annoying as no free spaces. Villa is in a...More

Enjoyed learning about Roman life in Britain. You can see exposed excavations, as well as exhibits of artifacts that were found there, even a skeleton of a young man. Allow about an hour to see everything. Small but well stocked gift shop.
