We stopped off here whilst driving from Whitehorse to Carcross. The colour of the lake, mountains in the distance and the fall colours make this place look like a postcode. Definitely worth a short stop of picnic if passing

Visited early morning on the way to skagway. The lake looks surreal .Lot of photographers . Stopped by in the evening and with the fall colors on the shore it was gorgeous.

We rented a car in Skagway and drove up to Emerald Lake. It was an overcast day but it was still very pretty. However, I think some of the other lakes we passed on the drive were even a better view. Still worth the drive....More

This lake is a traditional stop for my Klondike Road Relay team on our way to Skagway. The view is always good and we enjoy the challenge of throwing rocks from the road to reach the lake... it’s not easy!

There are a LOT of beautiful lakes in the world - this is one of them. Nice for a quick 5 minute stop for a picture and stretch legs. Nothing to do on the lake, so look and go.

Sorry for the delay in responding. All small lakes will be frozen November and larger lakes will start to freeze over. Northern lights can only be seen in our winter months as in the summer we have nearly 24 hours of light... More

Yes, December could be a good month, it always depends if it's clear or not. The best thing is to check the activity. I live in the Yukon and I saw beautiful northern light lights, as well as in NWT and even southern parts... More
